Problem
There’s currently no Sankey Chart component or rules available across Play. Teams need a reusable solution to visualise data flows clearly and consistently.
Audience
Built for teams across Play development to visualise data flow and improve how they understand and manage information within their products.

01.Interactions The Sankey Chart allows users to visualise data flows with interactive features like hover-to-highlight, tooltips showing detailed metrics, and click-to-isolate paths. Users can filter by segments or time, expand or collapse nodes for more or less detail, and experience smooth transitions that maintain context as the chart updates—all within a fully responsive layout.

03.Connections &
tool tips
Nodes are designed with clear labels and scalable sizing based on volume, helping users instantly grasp key data points. Connections use smooth, curved lines with varying thickness to represent flow magnitude, ensuring relationships are visually intuitive. Tooltips are lightweight, non-intrusive, and surface key details—like counts, percentages, and labels—on hover, giving users immediate context without overwhelming the view.
